Thanks to the companies that support our project, we are able to continue adding equipment. In this case, with the acquisition of 10 new camera traps, an extremely useful monitoring tool in complex environments such as the Atlantic forest, since it provides us with information that is impossible to see with the naked eye.
Camera traps allow us to obtain images without disturbing wildlife, avoiding our proximity and managing to record animals with nocturnal habits or elusive behavior that otherwise we might not be able to see. In this way we obtain data on the species that inhabit each environment, dates, times, temperature, exact location and, in many cases, we can identify individuals by specific physical traits, helping to understand behaviors or estimate populations.
We continue to work on the regeneration and conservation of our natural environments!
